Obituary of Lynda Winfield

Please share a memory of Lynda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of the beautiful and strong Lynda Winfield on January 25th, 2024, with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Lynda was the cherished wife of Robert Winfield of 43 years, the loving mother of Anthony Pigeau (Suzanne), Troy Pigeau (Melanie), Patrick Faubert (Angie), Joanne Caymaz (Yusuf), Amy Winfield (Jean) and Robert Winfield.

Her energetic and loving spirit will continue to live through her grandchildren Sarah (Jeremy), Desiree, Stephanie, Dreden, Bryce, Riley, Victoria, Hunter, Mason, and Brendan.

She is survived by her mother-in-law Jeanine Winfield (Amyotte), her dear sisters Helen Pigeau (Lloyd Cornish, deceased), Diane Pigeau (Ray Vienneau), Joanne Pigeau, brother Brian Pigeau, sister-in-law Linda Winfield (Patricia) and brother-in-law Patrick Winfield (Sherry). She was also the loved aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Lynda has now joined her mother Jacqueline, and her father Antoine Pigeau, father-in-law Elmer Winfield, brother John Pigeau, and sister-in-law Susan Armstrong (Winfield).

Lynda valued her many friendships that she developed over the last 20 years, as a dedicated employee at Parker’s Your Independent Grocer, in North Bay. Many patrons and staff enjoyed her infectious smile and warming personality over the years.

Lynda’s many joys in life included spoiling her grandchildren, shopping with her best friend/sister Helen, memories made at the camp, needlepoint, knitting, her Saturdays “Game Night” with her sisters, her famous family/friends BBQs, and the many hours spent with her children.

Respecting Lynda’s wishes, cremation will occur with a private family service. A celebration of life will be held this spring in honour of Lynda, for family and friends, with details to follow at a later date.

Lynda’s family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to Dr.  Yates and Dr. Moore, as well as, the Nipissing Serenity Hospice staff for their invaluable and amazing support and hospitality during Lynda’s courageous journey.

Donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice in North Bay, Ontario, would be greatly appreciated in honour of Lynda.
