Obituary of Robert Garry Peachey

It is with profound sadness that Bob’s family announces his unexpected passing on Monday, December 11, 2023.

He leaves behind his wife Geraldine Peachey (MacDonald), his son Stephen Peachey (Laurie) and daughter Melissa Fletcher (David), his grandchildren Taylor Peachey, Nathan Peachey, Joshua Fletcher, and Julia Fletcher, as well as his great granddaughter Chloe Peachey.

Son of the late Leslie and Mildred (nee Brousseau) Peachey of North Bay. Brother to Claudette McGuire (Garf) and Valerie Sayer (Greg), and uncle to many others.

Bob had a successful career as a Commercial Insurance Broker with W. Bruce Martin’s Insurance / Canada Brokerlink and forged many long-lasting relationships with his clients.

Bob filled his time with home renovation projects for himself, and most often for others. In his later years, he had finally found his best labourer in his wife Gerri, who always worked tirelessly along his side. Bob leaves us all with lasting memories of his practical jokes, and not many friends or family members were spared. He enjoyed travelling, playing cards, and spending time with his lifelong friends, David and Linda VanMierlo.

As per Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private celebration of life will be held with family.
