Obituary of Marion Evelyn Glinski
It is with great sadness that we announce Marion Evelyn Glinski, born on November 20, 1932, has passed away on her 91st birthday in North Bay, Ontario.
Marion is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband John Glinski married at Holy Name Church in North Bay on June 18, 1955. Marion is also survived by her three children Michael (Jackie) Glinski, Darlene (Sam) Hoyle and Jeff (Donna) Glinski and her 6 grandchildren that put a smile on her face every time she was with them; John (Bekki) Glinski, Eddie Glinski, Steve Glinski, Riley Roy, Danielle (Mitch) Koralewski and Kevin (Annie) Hoyle.
Marion had the privilege of knowing and spending lots of quality time with her 5 great grandchildren Mila Glinski, Brayden, Avery (who shares the same birthday) Madison Koralewski and Benson Hoyle. One her favorite sayings to share with her little loved ones was, “I love you to the moon and back.”
In her younger years, Marion could be seen and heard cheering on all of her grandchildren at their activities both near and far. She was a sports enthusiast and had Uncle’s who to this day are on the North Bay Hall of fame wall something she was always proud to share. Marion enjoyed living the Snowbird life in Florida where she found herself most often visiting golf courses with close friends. Marion also was a supporter of the Shriner’s Club, where she could be seen with her friends wearing their green tee shirts watching Johnny drive his little green race car in parades.
In conclusion, we will all remember Marion for her infectious laugh and positive outlook on life. She cared and worried about everyone well before herself and anyone who knew her knows this to be true. We loved her for that and that's just who she was. Her family was her whole life and she enjoyed spending time with them even with many miles between some.
She is preceded in death by her mother Evelyn Barkley, her sister Lois Gardner, many aunts, uncles, and dear friends.
Her family will attend a church service at Holy Name Church in North Bay in the Spring. Per her wishes, her extended family will gather to celebrate her life together in the summer. We love you to the moon and back.
