Obituary of Jacqueline Lalande

 It is with deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Jacqueline (Jackie) Lalande (nee Potvin) formerly of Timmins in her 90th year on November 12th, 2023 at Nipissing Manor in Corbeil.

Predeceased by her loving husband Gerard 2009 and son Marc 2013 (Doreen).  Left to mourn are her children Helene Lalande of Fergus, Michelle Till (Darryl) of Peterborough, Carole Ciconne of London and Raymond Lalande (Olga) of Oro-Medonte.  Cherished grandmother of Robin, Jaime, Meghann, Kiri, Christopher, Stephanie, Michelle, Anthony, Marya, Dylan and Christian.

 Jackie also leaves behind 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

 Predeceased by her parents Henri and Marie-Louise (L'Heureux) Potvin her sister Gertrude (late George) and her brothers Fernand (late Marion), Hurald (Yolande), and Romeo (late Marcelle).

Jackie was a lifelong resident of Timmins and worked several years at Buckovetsky's in the shoe department fitting many soles.  She loved the holidays, was a sharp card player but was happiest spending time with her family and grandchildren where she will be lovingly remembered as "mermer".

The family wishes to convey a sincere thank you to the nurses, doctors, PSWs and all the staff at Nipissing Manor for the excellent care.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Martyn Funeral Home in North Bay and a Celebration of Life will take place in Timmins at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Society or a local food bank would be appreciated.
