Obituary of David Munro
David (Dave) Kirk Munro
Passed away peacefully at his home Saturday September 30th at the age of 61.
Dave was a loving Husband, Father, Grandpa, Brother and friend to so many. He leaves behind his true love Jennifer Lynn Munro (wife), his children, spouses & their children Katherine Thompson (Ashaunde, Chelseah, Carsyn), Evelyne Munro, David Munro (Ariane), Christopher Upton (Alisha, Jordyn, Brice and Cohen), Lindsey Upton (Marc), Andrew Upton (Josee, Emma, Amora, Chanelle) and his sisters Nancy Munro (Bill) and Linda Groh as well multiple nieces and nephews and their families.
Dave was born in Windsor ON, to his parents David Coots Spence Munro and Irene Francis McNamara Munro, although North Bay ON was the place he called home. Dave was a jack of all trades but truly enjoyed his passion for butchering, especially after hunting season at the camp with the boys. “Yeaaaa Buddy!” “Whoop Whoop”.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was an incredible grandfather to not only his grandchildren but to so many others. Dave was the type of man that would give the “shirt off his back” to anyone. His love for the outdoors was evident and would bring so many together creating a lifetime of memories. We all knew him as Dave or David but some of us will remember him lovingly by “Chromey”, “Melon Head”,“ Big Galoot”, “BARB” and so many more nicknames.
Dave was the type of man that had so much love to give to anyone and everyone but his heart belonged to his wife Jennifer Lynn of 25 years. The passion, the memories and the love the two shared will live on forever.
A Celebration of Dave’s life will be held for family and friends at the Fox and the Fiddle (112 Spencer Avenue, North Bay) on Thursday, October 26th at 1:00 PM. In memory of other family members that have passed from cancer, Dave ’s family would gratefully acknowledge donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca).
“ Love ya Lots” Dad
