DOUCETTE, Madeleine Marie (née Sivret)

1934-2023

Passed peacefully on July 5, 2023, at the Algonquin Nursing Home, Mattawa, Ontario, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of 56 years to the late Rheaume Doucette (2008). Proud and loving mother of Lucette (“Toune”) Edelman and Rhéal Doucette (Debbie) of Ottawa. Predeceased by son Roger (“Fudge”) Doucette (Michelle). Born to Joseph Sivret and Marie-Reine (née Tremblay).

Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Cee-Jay Mayer (David), Cherry Butler (Daniel), Candy Foisy (Jean), Magnum Doucette (Kara), Angela Patton (Ian) and Josette Edelman (Chris). Great-grandmother of Kale and Quinn Butler, Vera Patton and Felix Foisy. Dear sister of William Sivret (Lorraine) of Sudbury and Lucille (“Faye”) MacGillivray (Denis) of Brantford. Predeceased by siblings Raymond (late Alda), Jean-Marie, Louisette (late Theodore Doucette) and Georgette (late Raymond Doucette).

A funeral mass will be held at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Mattawa, at 11:00 a.m. on August 11, 2023, followed by internment of ashes in St. Anne’s Cemetery
