Obituary of Jean Landrie
After an eventful one hundred- and two-year life, Jean quietly passed away on June 29th at Cassellholme.
Lovingly remembered by John, Lois, and Laura.
Jean served with the ATS during World War 2, came to Canada as a war bride and settled with husband Robert in North Bay.
In addition to homemaking, raising John, gardening, camping, and fishing, Jean volunteered with the Red Cross and Leisure World. She made several trips to visit her family in England and enjoyed one adventure with friends in Portugal and Morocco.
After Bob’s passing in 1995, she moved to the Shibelith Apartments where she lived independently until 2020.
Jean loved people, animals, and the outdoors. She enjoyed knitting, board games and Sunday dinners. Her sense of humour, loyalty and compassion for others will be missed.
Visitation will take place from 11 am to 1 pm, Wednesday, July 5th at Martyn Funeral Home.
