Obituary of Cecile Patricia Towers

Passed away totally at peace with family by her side at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, on Monday, December 5, 2022. Cecile was the beloved wife of the late William Edward “Bill” Towers, she was 86 years old.

Cecile cared for her family deeply, she was the loving mother of Rick McCharles (Ellen) of Powassan, Keith McCharles (Judy) of Fort St. John, BC., Keevin McCharles of Edmonton, Donald McCharles (Jackie) of Fort St. John, BC., Lorraine Beaton, and Claudette White (Paul) both of North Bay.

She will be lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dearly loved sister of Rachel Giroux (Yvan), Odile Martin, Yvette Loeffen, Laurette Degagne (Raymond), Helene Buckner (Rick Spencer), Therese Ayotte (Raymond Champagne), Diane Latulippe (Robert), Suzanne Gravelle (Daniel), Marcel Buckner (Claudette) and Denis Buckner (Vivianne). Predeceased by her parents Yvonne and Albert Buckner, and by siblings Lucille Brisebois and Henri Buckner. Cecile will be remembered by Bill’s children Lois, Sue, Ellen, and Cheryl.

Cecile was a strong family-oriented woman who raised six children on her own. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Paroisse St-Vincent-de-Paul (1265 rue Wyld, North Bay) on Saturday, December 10th, at 11:00 am. Her ashes will be interred in the family plot at the Holy Cross Cemetery in the spring of 2023. If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundations would be appreciated by her family. Arrangements entrusted to the Martyn Funeral Home
