Obituary of Miles Curtis Peters
Following a rather lengthy illness under the excellent care of Dr. J Pace and Dr. Jinnah and in the last weeks from the amazing staff at Serenity Hospice, Miles Curtis Peters passed away peacefully on December 4, 2022.
Having received notice of his pending passing on his seventy fifth birthday (Born May 20, 1947) Miles declared that the past few months spent with his children, grandchildren, family, and friends were some of his most cherished and valued days in his lifetime. He felt profoundly blessed and extremely grateful to everyone for their prayers, encouragement, love, and support.
Miles spent his career as an independent entrepreneur building multiple corporations within the mining, forestry, railway, defence, telecommunications, and pipeline industries. He was a passionate leader, outspoken activist and was continuously honoured to serve his community.
Miles is survived by his three children.
Ryan (Lisa) Grandson James (7) and Granddaughter Zaria (26).
Stacia (Seth) Granddaughter Harlan (5) and Grandson Delainey (2).
Sarah (Joshua) and Granddaughter Emily-Grace (13).
Sister Gayle (Steven) and Brother William (Glenda) (Noreen).
Nieces and Nephews Eric, Tess, Aaron-Kane, Nathan, Naomi (and their families).
Miles was predeceased by his older brother Kenneth (Kathy), Nephew Randall, Father Gordon, Mother Sadie.
Also survived by Lorraine, mother of his 3 children and Dan Middleton father of Emily-Grace who both remain a big part of the family.
Especially appreciative to his special friend Debbie Weiler for her ongoing support and assistance as he navigated through his recent life and health issues.
Miles you were dearly loved and will be forever missed. May you rest in God’s love, light and eternal grace.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Sunday December 11th from 1:30-5:00pm at Martyn Funeral Home.
During the service there will be a time for those who wish to pay tribute to Miles.
Donations to Serenity Hospice in memory of Miles will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
