Obituary of Gary Desmond Johnston

With broken hearts, we announce the death of Gary Desmond Johnston.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son Aaron (Nicole) Johnston and granddaughter Harper. His sister Linda (Salah) Johnston and brother Jamie (Amanda) Johnston. He was predeceased by his parents Desmond and Cecile Johnston and his brother Robert Johnston. He will be fondly remembered by his friends and family from Mattawa and North Bay. 

Gary was a quiet man of few words. He loved being on the water, fishing with his family and his good buddy Sam. The risk and thrill of a good poker game was a favorite past time he enjoyed sharing with his caring life partner Carrie. He had a huge heart for family and friends he loved. We know Gary would wish us to smile amid the tears and to remember happier times with him.

Please join us in remembering Gary Johnston on Friday, December 16, 2022 at the Martyn Funeral Home in North Bay. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm - 2:00pm with a service to follow at 2:00pm.
