Obituary of Roger Ricci

December 12, 1932 - February 14, 2022

With heavy hearts, Roger's family announce that he passed away Monday, February 14, 2022 at age 89 surrounded by his loving family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.

Roger lived a full life. He was very proud to be a founding member of the Davedi Club in 1952 at the age of 20.  He eventually became president of the club.  Later, he was the parade marshal of the Winter Fur Carnival and eventually became president. He started the first Judo Club in North Bay affiliated with the Frank Hatashita Club of Toronto.  He became president of that organization. He ran a successful printing company, Ricci's Fine Printing Ltd. for over 50 years, retiring at 80.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Carol and his children Tom, (Lori) Susan Peters, (Gord) Chris, Paul, (Kelly) Jason, (Katelyn) and Steve, (Lisa). He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren Andy, (Samantha) Katrina, (Derek) Katherine, Christopher, Kelly, James, Julie, Matthew, Ryan, Ben, Howard, Nolan, Oscar, Peter and 3 great grandchildren, Mia, David and Leo. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Mary (Spina) his sisters Shirley, Benita Falconi, (Joe) Karen, Anna, and brothers Joe, (Twyla) and Val,(Rose). He is survived by Lena Simpson, (Don deceased) Georgina Ricci, (Robert deceased) Rudy, (Loretta) Ramona, Vin, (Sue deceased) and Christine Fior (John) and several nieces and nephews.

Respecting Roger's wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment and a celebration of life will occur at a later date. If you wish to make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society it would be appreciated.
