Obituary of Stanley Edward Mason

March 20, 1932 – January 30, 2022

Stan Mason passed away in North Bay, Ontario on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022. He was born in London, England to Harry & Rosina Mason (nee Bird). When he was 16, he immigrated to Canada. He met Barbara Bush through his sister Doris, and they married in Toronto. Soon after, their first child Patricia was born. Stan’s job with Moir’s Chocolates took them to North Bay, Ontario where Lois, Jim and Bud (Stanley Jr.) were born.

Over the years, Stan worked as a salesman, a bus driver, and a crossing guard supervisor. He was known for his friendly personality and his wonderful sense of humour, which gained him many friends. He was also a long-time member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners.

Stan leaves behind his children: Pat (Harold), Lois (Paul), Jim, and Bud (Sue), as well as grandchildren Kevin, Becky, Dawn, Heidi, Beth, Michael, Dylan, Lucas, Solomon, Leanne, and Eric. He also leaves 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cassellholme Long Term Care facility would be appreciated. 400 Olive Street West, North Bay, ON, P1B 6J4.
