Obituary of Kel Sewell
Peacefully, with his usual quiet dignity, Dad slipped away January 25th, after a life well lived where he had joy and brought joy to others.
Dad loved being at the family cottage where we all gathered and created lasting memories. He especially loved teasing the grandkids with his wet hugs after an early morning swim, and teaching them nature conservancy.
Dad was a family man, bank manager, musician, traveller, golfer, skier, snowmobiler, fisherman, sailor, builder, and tinkerer.
Service to the community was important to him, serving St. Brice’s, YMCA, and Rotary. He made friends wherever he went and was proud of having visited every province and territory.
Mourning him are his children Laura (Stephen), Kelland (Kate), Robin (Joe), and Polly (George), his sister Marjie (Ron), and grandchildren Mina, Simon, Carter, Kelsey, Kassandra. Dad was predeceased by his wife, Anne.
Many thanks to Dr. Rotondo for years of excellent care, and to the Staff on Birch at Cassellholme who maintained his dignity throughout his residency and his last night.
A Celebration of Life will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Cassellholme Foundation, Alzheimer’s, CNIB, or a charity of choice.
