Sanderson: Ronald Henry
Passed away at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday, April 9, 2021. Ronald was the beloved Husband of Doris Margaret (nee Robinson), at the age of 84. Loving father of David (Barbara), Terry (Pat), and Naomi Sanderson (Mike Godding). He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Scott, Ashley, Eric, Kiaya, and by his great-grandchildren, Kayla, Lilly, David, Jack and William. Ron was an Electrical Technician who worked for Bell Canada for 36 years. He spent 30 of those years in the North Bay SAGE Complex, “The Hole”, from the time of it’s inception. The next ten years was spent working at Nasittuq. He was a past Commodore of the North Bay Yacht Club, and volunteered at the North Bay Museum. Ron regularly donated blood and volunteered with Canadian Blood Services and served as the People’s Warden at St. Brice’s Anglican Church. He was able to repair or tackle any home project, but also, happy to spend time fishing with extended family at Pointe-au-Baril.
Cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will follow once Covid restrictions are lifted. If desired, donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre or the North Bay Museum would be appreciated by the family.
His family would like to thank those who cared for Ron, especially Dr. Locke, Dr. Harman, Dr. Saunders, Dr. Shulman, the nurses of the CCU and C3 and those from Community Care Partners.
