Obituary of Dalton Glen Gordon

Please share a memory of Dalton to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

The Gordon family sadly announces Dalton’s peaceful passing at Eastholme, Powassan on Friday April 2, 2021, in his 93rd year. Special thanks to the devoted staff at Eastholme, who cared lovingly for Dalton during the final years of his long life.

Dalton was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (nee Fraser), who predeceased him in 2017. He was the supportive and loving father of Beth Grimstead (Mark) of Bracebridge, Bradley Gordon (Debra) of North Bay, Lynn Weaver (Russ) of B.C., and the late David (Karen) of North Bay. Loving Poppa of 10, and Great Poppa of 11. Sadly missed also by siblings Jean Grace, Bruce Gordon, Marg Barton, and Gale Joyce, and extended family and friends who gathered often at the Trout Lake home/cottage. Born and raised in North Bay, Dalton was a long time lineman with Ontario Hydro. He taught skiing for many years, enjoyed sailing, woodworking, creating stained glass art, biking and gardening, passions he shared with his children and grandchildren. In keeping with Dalton’s wishes, his body has been cremated. A service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.

If desired, make a donation to a charity of your choice in Dalton’s memory, or perform a random act of kindness, as Poppa Gordon did throughout his life. Arrangements entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home with online condolences at www.martynfh.com
