CROSS- John (Jackie) James
The Cross family sadly announce the passing of their beloved brother John (Jackie), at Nipissing Serenity Hospice, on Friday July 3, 2020. John died peacefully after a short battle with cancer, at the age of 64. He was the beloved son of the late Lloyd and Beth Cross and was a long time resident of Wasi Road. He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers Don and Dave (Lizz) and his sister Mary Ellen Campbell (Jeff). “Uncle Jackie” to all his adoring nieces and nephews, Blaine, Angele, Tyson, Kristin, Joline, Jonathan, Sarah, Tanya, Melissa, April, Jennifer, Jamie, Brandon, Crystal, Amanda, Matt, Heidi, Kurt and great nieces and nephews, Kayla, Ethan, Angus, Travis, Eliza, Aster, Aiden and Connor.
John was a heavy equipment operator working on road maintenance and construction most of his career, the last few years he enjoyed driving truck. He enjoyed the out of doors, hunting and fishing and camping, travelling across Canada and spending time with his family.
He was a much loved pillar of the family and held a very special place in our hearts and we will miss him immensely, a man of deep faith, we rejoice in knowing he is home in eternity with his Saviour.
Thank you everyone for their prayers and support and we are so very grateful to the caring staff at the Hospice for their wonderful and compassionate care in his final days.
Due to the current restrictions imposed by the pandemic a private service will be held on Saturday July 11, 2020. Interment will follow in the Nipissing Village Cemetery.
