It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Karyn Lynn Knapp on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, surrounded by loved ones. She was 76 years old. She was the beloved partner of Dan Philion for 36 years. Also survived by siblings Barb Lafontaine (Bill) and Kathy Haskins (Marti Gerbasi) and greatly missed by nieces Amanda Awerbuck (Josh) (Jack & Hayle) and Jessica Haskins, nephews Jeff Lafontaine (Cheryl) (Russell & Thomas) and Michael Haskins. Sadley missed by her Step-daughter Sharon Crocker (Alvin) and step-son Gary Philion (Kimberly) & step-granddaughters Alyssa Crocker & Chelsey Philion and step-grandsons Braydon Crocker, Callum Philion & Keagan Philion. Predeceased by her parents Edna & Clyde Russell. Karyn was proud of her 35 year career as an O.R. nurse, working at both St. Joe’s & Civic Hospitals. Respecting her wishes a private family service will be held. No Visitation. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Martyn Funeral Home.
