A lifelong Resident of Mattawa

Passed away peacefully at the Algonquin Nursing Home on Thursday, August 1st, 2019 in her 90th year. Shirley (nee Walters) was the beloved wife of the late Roy Parizeau. Loving mother of Beth Bangs (John) of Mattawa and Robert Parizeau (Marlene) of Milton. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jeff, Lisa, Sean (Tammy), Heather (Brent) and by her great grandchildren Ben, Natalie, Kate, Matthew, Evan, Rhian and Avah. She was predeceased by her parents William and Vera Walters and by her brother Bill (Dolly – predeceased). For years Shirley was a caring member of the Community Living team in Mattawa, and a very active member of St. Andrew's in the Pines United Church. Many would remember that she and Roy managed the Champlain Theatre in Mattawa many years ago. Visitation for Shirley will be held at St. Andrew's in the Pines United Church on Tuesday August 6th from 1:00 P.M. until time for a Memorial Service in the Church at 2:00 P.M. If desired, donations to the Algonquin Nursing Home, St. Andrew's in the Pines United Church (General Fund) or Community Living Mattawa will be gratefully acknowledged as sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the Martyn & Sloan "Mattawa Chapel".
