Dearest Mark and precious family: It has been over 40 years since we last saw one another. In my mind's eye you are still the youngest of the Gauthier clan, so tan and vibrant and handsome, always with a giant smile and adorable dimples. The Gauther and Dufresne families were so close and I loved you all, as did Bob. My heart is heavy with sadness hearing the news of the passing of your wonderful son Michael. Remembering the loss of our son at 21, also from a tragic accident, leaves me groping for the words to say to give you some comfort. But I know there are really no words. I pray that you have Hope for tomorrow, Faith that you will be together in Heaven, and Peace that he gave and received love in abundance in his short life. Mike was an angel, he had an infectious smile, he gave great hugs, and I always felt that my son Jeffery was protected from those pesky bees when they went fishing or camping. Michael was always there for Jeffery whenever he needed help with anything, now those days will never again be. Michael was a loving, caring person like no other.
